Concept Ideation:
The design direction drew inspiration from Kenyan heritage, natural ingredients, and vibrant cultural expression. Keywords like authenticity, freshness, creativity, and local pride guided the exploration. Mood boards emphasized bold patterns, natural textures, and storytelling that captured both the energy of Kenyan culture and the brand’s premium positioning.
Design Development:
I experimented with color palettes inspired by both the land and the vibrancy of Kenyan art—pairing bright, energetic tones with earthy accents to reflect natural ingredients. Typography and hand-drawn motifs added a personal, authentic touch, while geometric patterns grounded the identity in local heritage. Bottle and case mockups were developed to visualize the design across product lines, ensuring consistency and adaptability.
Final Concept & Recognition:
The final design presented a bold, culturally resonant, and modern visual system for Kenyan Originals. It successfully captured the brand’s originality and stood out as both premium and approachable. This concept was submitted into a design competition, where it was shortlisted and selected for production as part of a limited-edition case of beverage bottles. Having the design printed and released in this exclusive collection validated its impact and relevance, demonstrating how creative exploration can translate into real-world brand experiences.
